Thanks To DART

In recent weeks, our members across southeast Louisiana felt the impact of Hurricane Ida. Louisianians are a resilient people and will move through this tragedy as we have in the past.

The National Fraternal Order of Police responded with the National Disaster Assistance Response Team (DART). DART was in Louisiana within 48 hours after the storm and in contact with State Lodge leadership before impact to coordinate the response. Members from 13 states responded to Louisiana to feed first responders and help remediate their homes from the damage over the next several weeks.

The Louisiana Fraternal Order of Police would like to thank DART Chairman Jason Smith and all the members that came to Louisiana.

Through the National FOP Foundation we have been able to give financial assistance to qualifying members that felt the greatest impact of Hurricane Ida. We encourage our members to help the National Foundation so we can pay forward the fraternalism shown to us by our Brothers and Sisters across this Nation.
