Police Week In Louisiana
Monday the House of Representatives and the State Senate offered separate resolutions setting aside this week as Police Week. The authors of the House of Representative Resolution were Mike Johnson, Tony Bacala, and Bryan Fontenot. The Senate Resolution was authored by Senator Louie Bernard and read by Senator Bodi White.
The Louisiana Law Enforcement Memorial service was held Tuesday night, honoring Louisiana's fallen heroes. Many local jurisdictions are holding services honoring the fallen. Taking part in these local services not only honors our fallen Brothers and Sisters but pays tribute to their memory.
On Sunday, May 15th the National FOP will honor 563 officers who have fallen in the service of others. The NFOP has produced a video tribute highlighting the 41st Annual FOP Peace Officers Memorial Service.
