It is with a heavy heart that we report the passing of Louisiana National Trustee Tommy Tizzard following a courageous 27 month battle against cancer.
Tommy was a long time member of the Louisiana Fraternal of Police executive board and a 32 year veteran with the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office where he retired at the rank of Lieutenant. Tommy also served on the Board of Directors of Easter Seals of Louisiana, the New Orleans Police Emerald Society, and much more.

Louisiana's Police Funding Protection Act
While we are disappointed that the Police Funding Protection Act failed we are pleased with the debate that occurred out of it.
