SUPPORT Amendment #3

In the 2023 Legislative Session Senate Bill 127, Act 179, by Senator Royce Duplessis would allow a parish governing authority to give an extra property tax exemption to police, firefighters and certain other first responders who own homes and live in the parish.

In a time, where departments are struggling to hire and retain law enforcement officers, this amendment would help retain and attract employees to keep our communities safe by allowing a tax break for law enforcement officers.

The Louisiana Fraternal Order of Police SUPPORTS this amendment. Tell your family and friends to SUPPORT Amendment #3 on the October 14 ballot.
