3 Top Priorities Pass Both Chambers

Today three of the Louisiana Fraternal Order of Police's top Legislative Priorities passed both Chambers.

House Bill 495 by Representative Chris Hazel guarantees that agencies shall issue law enforcement retirees identification cards.  This is vitally important to Retirees, because a "Retiree" identification card is needed for compliance with Federal LEOSA standards.

House Bill 604 by Representative Julie Emerson assures survivors of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty will retain health care insurance for spouses and children of the fallen for a minimum of 2 years.

House Bill 210 by Representative Katrina Jackson provides that law enforcement officers shall be notified 30 days prior to any attempt at the revocation of their POST Certificate.
