Standing in the Face of Adversity

Standing in the Face of Adversity

Over the last week law enforcement in Louisiana has taken a hard blow. We lost a fellow law enforcement officer, Everett Briscoe, a 13-year veteran with NOPD, in a senseless act of violence in Houston. A reward has been offered for information regarding the homicide. Arrangements will be announced soon.

Early on a Saturday morning three Baton Rouge Police officers were severely injured in an overnight crash where a person believed to be driving drunk drove into a separate crash scene and hit the officers. Two of the officers are still hospitalized.

Our law enforcement profession is a noble one, yet it requires our officers and their families to make sacrifices daily on and off duty. Random violence and reckless acts jeopardize our society daily across this Nation, but our profession is the one that stands that line of protection.

Find strength in each other and your family...listen and appreciate the value you have daily.
